So we went to the doctors yesterday and he pronounced Alexander as having colic! AAAAARrgh. That means he cries a lot for no reason, he isnt sick or anything he just.. cries…
sleeping is unbearable. feeding is unbearable.
hopefully he will grow out of it very quickly, its quite upsetting to see his frowny face and little tears and his little ‘dad-make-it-all-better’ cry.
The bets are coming in that he will have red hair, tho I am very for blonde and against ginger but we will see…

If you go to the chemist, they should have some drops that make it better. Also, be vigilant about the burping. Some babies have trouble bringing up their wind.
Stu -- Jul 7th, 2007 09:11 PMWe have gas drops that we use, current research thinks colic isnt gas (gas is just a side effect, and one I can attest that he has lots of! lol).
He is better today, so maybe he had something in Joys milk he didnt like (she wasnt feeling well for a couple of days as well).
Naiiad -- Jul 7th, 2007 09:17 PMI get colic if I eat wheat. Perhaps it’s a food intolerance/mild allergy. I can certainly attest to how painful it is. They give pethidine for it in adults.
