store visits
im working in store tomorow. If i dont write any more entries after this, you know I have died of boredom stacking cds on a shelf or zombiefied in the stockroom unpacking boxes of cds…
should a whizz bang fantastic action-a-plenty excitement all round day tomorow… :(
really looking forward to it.. nothing better i could think of doing all day….. really….

hmmmm what a lazy day
was cranking out code like a madman today.. for well.. most of the day.. then my boss says.. “well.. I’m off.. Ive got.. a meeting” and goes.. so we all stop work more or less, cuppa tea or 10… bitta chat.. some phonage…
you know how it goes when both bosses are out…
then his wife rings up…. hmmm “oh he must be at the dentist.. ok” aaah so it was a meeting with his dentist! 
hahah
anyway today was kinda bludgy…
i reworked my budget today.. the kind of budget where you dont spend a single p and hoard every pound and just dont eat for the next 3 months… hahah…
damn supermarket brand food!!
i think i can do it.. with all bills covered, things paid off, no debts, etc.. i should have 2k pounds for my hike. thats all expenses everything… thats what (quick! to the currency conversion site! www.xc.com/ucc mm not bad. 3.5k! suhweeeeeet… even better when your predicted budget gives you 2.8k.. but who knows what expenses might turn up between now and leaving.. so 2k is a nice base pool…
hmm if i didnt have that damn car loan to still pay off even when not owning a car anymore… ohwell…
hell, no debt whatsoever (ok ok damn car payments dont count!!) nothing but a blank visa!!!
just realised i havent factored some insurance in yet.. damn… will have to visit the bankvamps tomorow…

cat amongst pigeons
well today was interesting…
First work denied me the visa letter. The only time I have ever asked for anything, and they wont do it. I understand their position “wed be lying to immigration” (well only us embassy really but thats what the guy in HR said to me).
The to top it off I NoSlammed my boss. A policy has come down from on high from the board, all employees must do a days work in a store. It has been that every year, but never enforced (So nobody did it), this year.. you guessed it, its enforced.
Its a great way to not have to pay temps and get all our hundereds of head office employees into a stores for a day…
Well, I plain out said “I’m not doing it” boy did that go down well.. They didnt know what to say, its assumed everyone will do it. Fuck That. I’m not a store worker. I’m not going to sticker product for a whoe fucking day. If I wanted to work in a store I would have applied.
My boss tried to fob me off with shit about how good it will be to know what goes on in a store, and how you get to see it from the other side, etc. Well excuse me for not wanting to be bored out of my mind for an entire day.
Whats my role in the store? it will be either, stacking boxes onto shelves in stock room. putting ‘hmv’ stickers on cds or putting cds into racks on the floor.
nobody else in the department wants to do it wither, but nobody will speak up.
so now there is a bruhaha boiling… They wouldnt take my NO and said ‘think about it on the weekend and we will talk about it on Monday’. Hmm I think my answer will still be NO!
All the small things at work are adding up and I’m just getting fed up…
I cant believe they were shocked when I said no, and they said “Uh, we will have to start a process, uh I dont know where to go from here…”
I told them Id tell the CEO in person as I dont care.
The worse thing is, they asked for my reasoning, and I couldnt come up with one beyond just saying “I dont want to”. I feel like work is using me.
I cant write anymore, i’m getting aggro with work!

Work…
I’m working all day saturday. not tooo bad, since my Boss said we will get a day in lieu. Lets just say if on saturday things go tits up, half our department, most of the IT guys, the AS400 support team and the QA team will get sacked (ok a severe wrist smacking)...
i’m working xmas day, boxing day and i’m working new years day….
yay for work with no extra pay.
